Sobriety Support Circle
Ellie Nova
Monthly, first Wednesday of every month, 12 - 1:30pm
Community, connection and healing for people in recovery, who are sober or on the path to an alcohol-free life…
This gentle online gathering is a space to slow down and be present; to be heard and held; to listen and to witness. It is a space to be as you are.
This is for you if you ever feel alone in your journey. I wanted to create these circles as a place to gather like-minded women who are struggling with the same things and who have a deep understanding of what this journey is really like.
It is open to you at whatever stage in your sobriety journey you're at: whether sober curious, on the path to quitting, or many months or years alcohol-free. All methods of recovery are welcome. It is open to anyone identifying as a woman and non-binary people who identify with women's communities.
The rhythm of each circle is:
- a guided meditation to allow us to settle and arrive together
- a check-in with each of us
- a reading or poem on a particular them (previous themes have been autumn and 'finding the gold' within us)
- a sharing circle to share our feelings on the reading or theme, where we are in our sobriety journey, challenges, celebrations and whatever is on our hearts
- time for journalling, reflecting and sharing
Although I encourage everyone who joins to be fully present and, if you can, have your camera on, you are also welcome to join and just listen. You are welcome to join and not share, and silence is very welcome.
Sessions won’t be recorded, we will have very clear guidelines which I will share via email and at the beginning of the circles.

Experience
I trained as a sober coach with The Sober Club and as a life coach with Beautiful You Coaching Academy. I volunteer as sober mentor for Women Who Don't Drink and have regular supervision with Stephanie Chivers who runs this non-profit organisation. I have taken courses in mindful self-compassion, Focusing (a compassionate practice of coming into relationship with our inner world), non-violent communication and matresence. Previously, I have held online circles for new mothers, workshops on different themes around sobriety, and have been holding women's sobriety circles since October 2025.
