FAQs

what does the price include?

The cost of listing your circle/s, including the time and costs needed to design, manage and maintain the site; promotion and sharing on social media; writing, designing and sending out a regular newsletter.

I run in-person and online circles, do I need to buy two subscriptions?

No. They will get listed separately to make it easier for people to search, but your subscription is for your circle business, rather than individual circles, so one subscription covers all the types of circles you run.

I only run ad-hoc circles. How do I list these?

Just as you would list more regular circles - include information about your circles and ethos and how people can book and list any future circles you have planned. (Changes, within reason, can be made and added throughout the year as needed).

I only run ad-hoc retreats or longer immersive events. How do I list these?

At the moment the listings on this site are only for regular circles, or circles which run as a regular series or course. However, if you run regular circles, as well as retreats, then you can include info about your retreats in your listing. If you ONLY run retreats and longer events then stay in touch, as we’ll be adding the capacity to list these in the coming months - so look out for an email.

do you offer discounts?

If you have just trained in circle holding or are starting out, we are happy to support your journey into circle work with a reduced rate three-month trial. Please email us at info@womenscircles.co.uk for more details.

why are you charging for this?

Not only does the website take a considerable amount of time to maintain, run and update, but the costs of hosting and developing sites such as these are on the rise. Managing a directory such as this also requires a lot of technical expertise behind-the-scenes to ensure your circle is found through the right searches and tags. In addition, we want to make sure this is a site that truly works for both circle holders and those looking for circles, so a fee enables us to spend the time needed to keep the site up-to-date and relevant. And, because we are passionate about spreading the word of circle and supporting those who are just starting out, we include in the fee sharing and tagging on social media from our IG and Facebook accounts, and inclusion in our newsletter, which goes out to a large mailing list of circle holders and circle attendees.

how does the search function on the site work?

In two ways - mainly through sorting the circles by location, day/time, or type. Women can browse local circles by town or city, or use the search box to enter a specific location. Online circles are sorted into type, and then also day and time so women can choose daytime or evening circles, or browse days of the week. In London, circles are sorted into London areas, and also by day/time and type. The search box function works for all circles - in-person and online - and picks up keywords in each listing - which is why it’s good to get as many keywords into your info as possible.

what information should i send you?

Once you have paid and we’ve received confirmation, you’ll receive an email and a form with all the info we need - the most important thing is for your bio/info text to include as many keywords - especially location, day of the week, type of circle - as possible, as that will make you more likely to show up in searches. When we’re uploading your info to the site we’ll add in anything we think you’ve missed, and make sure you’re tagged in all the right categories. (See here for a good example of a clear listing with all the info we need).

what will my social media coverage look like?

A post sharing your image or branding and some information about your circle (location, times, specialisms etc), and a link to your site/profile. We will also often do round-ups of areas/themes etc and will include all relevant circles whenever we can.

i don’t have a website or social media. Does that matter?

No. And, actually, that’s why so many facilitators use us, as it allows them an online presence without the hassle and cost of paying for domains and hosting. You can include links to an Eventbrite or other ticketing site, to a Facebook page, or even just your email or mobile, or simply say that circles run at a specific time, date and place and leave the rest up to the circle universe - whatever works for you.

what happens when i need to update my info?

Any small, reasonable changes are done free-of-charge, just send your amends and any new imagery to info@womenscircles.co.uk. It usually takes about a week for changes to show on the site.

can i cancel?

We understand that things change, so when your charging period comes to an end - ie three/six/twelve months - then, of course, you are more than welcome to cancel, without any questions or hassle. If you need to cancel more urgently than that, please email us and we can discuss.

do you endorse all the circles on the site?

No. While we wish we could have gone to all of them - (circle road trip anyone?!) - that’s quite impossible. We ask people to share details of any training or preparation work they have done to hold circles, which we share with you, and we invite you to feedback to us on any circle you visit if you feel there is something you’d like to share or that we need to know about. (Feedback here)

where can i find out about circle training?

Coming soon, we will be sharing various circle training courses, with endorsements/reviews from at least three past attendees.
