Come together to share and to offer each other our presence, time and attentive listening. It’s a gentle slowed down space, possibly something of an oasis in otherwise hectic lives, where we seek to witness each other without offering solutions or advice. To be truly seen and heard in this way is a rare and precious gift we get to offer each other in this space.

"Openheartedness" is a specific word which resonates strongly for me when I envision Circle. Dictionary definitions refer to kindness, warmth and generosity. There is also an honesty and a straightforwardness about an openhearted person. We know and trust our shared humanity and our interdependence on each other. We see people without hierarchy and commit to curiosity above judgment. We are willing to connect and share from our hearts.

Please note: The Circles I facilitate are open to people of all genders and none. They are LGBTQIA+ and neurodiversity affirming spaces.

Experience

I’m a psychotherapist with 25 years experience, currently working in private practice. For a number of years, however, I have been sensing a gap for those of us who yearn for a sort of connection which is somewhere "in between" the relationships we have with family and friends and the type of support available in individual therapy. A mutual space characterised by open-heartedness in which we witness each other with compassion and curiosity, without explicit or implicit expectations around outcomes. I have completed Circle facilitation training with Sister Stories and have participated in many experiential group settings as a participant.
